Gold jewelry prices have declined in Azerbaijan, with sellers saying the market has seen a noticeable drop over the past several days.
According to vendors, prices have eased over the last four to five days compared with previous months, although trading activity remains somewhat slow as the holiday week begins. Even so, demand has not disappeared, and buyers are still showing interest.
Market participants say Russian gold is now selling for around 160-175 manats, while Turkish gold is priced at about 180-190 manats. Italian gold, meanwhile, is being offered in the range of 250-270 manats. In some cases, sellers say prices have fallen by 20-25 manats.
Buyers continue to choose different purity levels depending on their needs. The more affordable 585 hallmark remains widely preferred, while some customers still opt for 750 hallmark pieces. Interest also remains in Arab gold and 999 purity items, especially among those buying for investment purposes.
Sellers say that during the holiday period, some customers are shopping for gifts, while others are buying jewelry for weddings, engagements, or as a way to preserve value. Against that backdrop, the current dip in prices is being seen as a favorable time to buy.
