What Penalty Awaits Drivers For Loud Music In Their Cars?

Drivers in Azerbaijan who play excessively loud music in their vehicles and disturb public order may face police action and tougher penalties for repeat violations.

According to local reporting, public complaints have increasingly focused on motorists who modify their cars by installing powerful sound systems or altering vehicle parts to amplify noise.

Specialists say such cases should be assessed based on decibel levels, with sound measured to determine whether it exceeds acceptable limits. If the noise level is found to be above the norm, the vehicle may be stopped and required to be returned to its original technical condition.

A spokesperson for Azerbaijan’s Interior Ministry said measures are being taken against individuals who disrupt public order in this way.

The ministry said police continue monitoring compliance with accepted noise standards and respond when such behavior causes justified complaints from residents.

Officials noted that these incidents are treated as a public order violation and can provide legal grounds for police to stop the vehicle and take action under the law.

The Interior Ministry also said preventive measures in this area will continue, and drivers who ignore warnings and repeatedly commit such violations could face stricter punishment.
