BAKU, Azerbaijan - The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan, or SOFAZ, received about 7.78 billion manats ($4.58 billion) in net income from the sale of the state’s share of oil and gas in the first nine months of 2026.

The result represents 91% of the fund’s annual target for oil and gas sales revenue, according to information provided by SOFAZ and reported by APA-Economics on Oct. 16.

SOFAZ’s 2026 budget projects 8.55 billion manats ($5.03 billion) in receipts from the sale of Azerbaijan’s share of hydrocarbons.

The nine-month figure reflects net income calculated from realized oil and gas prices after sales-related expenses, rather than the fund’s total revenue or the value of its assets.
