Zabrat–Mashtaga Road Section Closed for Repairs

BAKU, Azerbaijan - Traffic has been fully closed on part of the Zabrat–Mashtaga road in Baku’s Sabunchu district as repair work gets underway, Azerbaijan’s State Agency of Automobile Roads, or AAYDA, said.

The restriction took effect Oct. 17 on the section running from the Zabrat roundabout to the road’s intersection with Elshan Maharramli Street in the Mashtaga settlement, according to reports by Report and APA-Economics, both citing AAYDA.

A full closure in the opposite direction is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. local time on Monday, Oct. 19. Drivers should therefore account for different start dates for the two directions.

AAYDA asked motorists to use alternative roads. The agency’s announcement did not provide a specific detour map or say when traffic would resume.

The restriction applies only to the section between the Zabrat roundabout and Elshan Maharramli Street, not the entire Zabrat–Mashtaga road.
