Azerbaijan sharply increased its revenue from exports of aluminum and aluminum products during the first seven months of 2026.

AZE.US reports, citing Report, that the country exported 46,700 metric tons of aluminum products worth approximately 280.9 million manats, or $165.25 million, in January–July.

Export revenue increased by 79.4 million manats, or $46.7 million, representing year-over-year growth of 39.4%. Shipment volume rose by 5,000 metric tons, or 11.9%.

The much faster rise in revenue than in physical volume indicates that the increase was driven not only by larger shipments but also by a higher average export value.

Aluminum and related products accounted for 2.7% of Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports and 0.8% of the country’s total exports during the reporting period.

Azerbaijan’s overall foreign trade turnover reached approximately 49.67 billion manats, or $29.22 billion. Exports totaled 32.87 billion manats, or $19.34 billion, while imports stood at 16.80 billion manats, or $9.88 billion.

Exports increased 27% from a year earlier, while imports declined 27.4%. The country’s trade surplus consequently expanded nearly sixfold to 16.07 billion manats, or $9.46 billion.
