Russian celebrity media reported on March 30 that Aras Agalarov, the 70-year-old president of Crocus Group, has married 27-year-old Alena Ivanova after divorcing his longtime wife, Irina Agalarova.
The reports were first pushed by StarHit and then picked up by other Russian outlets, including NEWS.ru. Agalarov had not publicly commented on the reported marriage as of the latest reports reviewed.
According to those reports, Ivanova has taken the Agalarov surname in her social media profiles and in records tied to her sole proprietorship. StarHit also reported that the couple has children together, though the claims were attributed to unnamed sources rather than to a public statement from the businessman or his family.
The reports mark a major personal shift for Agalarov, who had been married to Irina for more than four decades. In earlier comments quoted by Russian media, he described how their relationship began in their school years, later resumed during university, and led to marriage in 1978.
Agalarov remains one of the best-known business figures linked to Russia’s real estate and entertainment sectors through Crocus Group. Public attention around him has also remained high because of Crocus City Hall, the Moscow-area venue that was destroyed in the March 22, 2024 terrorist attack. The venue is closed, and reporting after the attack said it would not return as a concert hall. A memorial for the victims was unveiled in March 2025.
For now, the marriage story is being driven by entertainment media rather than by an official announcement. That leaves the central claim widely circulated, but still only publicly documented through Russian tabloid-style outlets as of March 31, 2026.
