Azerbaijan dispatched electrical equipment worth 2.5 million manats, or about $1.47 million, to Ukraine on Wednesday to support the restoration of the country’s energy infrastructure.
The Oct. 7 shipment left the Sumgayit Technologies Park and included cables, wires, transformers and other electrical equipment requested by Ukraine.
Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry organized the delivery under an order signed by President Ilham Aliyev on Sept. 21, 2026. The quantities of individual items in the shipment were not disclosed.
Azerbaijan has previously sent generators, transformers, cables and other power equipment to Ukraine. The Energy Ministry said in January that the country’s humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, including recovery and reconstruction support, had exceeded $45 million.
