Bridal beauty preparation in Azerbaijan has become more expensive in recent months, as salons report higher costs for wedding-day services for brides.
According to beauty specialists, bridal packages now start at around 100 manats and in some salons can reach 600 to 800 manats. Many standard packages begin at about 250 manats and include hair styling, makeup and nail services.
Salon workers say the final price depends on several factors. One of the main ones is location, with salons in central areas typically charging more. The total also rises when several specialists are assigned to one bride, such as separate artists for hair, makeup and nails.
Another reason cited for the increase is the higher cost of cosmetics and beauty products. Specialists say each client requires individually selected products based on skin tone and skin type, and better-quality materials have become more expensive over the past few months.
At the same time, bridal trends are shifting. Salon staff say many young brides now prefer a lighter, more natural look, choosing fresh makeup, soft curls and “water wave” hairstyles instead of heavier and more elaborate styling.
Accessories are also part of the spending. Tiaras, gloves and veils usually cost between 20 and 100 manats, depending on the design and decoration.
Despite the higher prices, salon workers say demand for bridal preparation services has remained strong and has not shown any clear sign of slowing.
