Baku’s Panorama Ferris wheel stops operating when wind speeds exceed 11 meters per second, or approximately 40 kilometers per hour.
The Seaside Boulevard Administration told Baku TV that the attraction also remains closed during heavy rain, snowfall, blizzards and storms.
Officials said the Panorama is a complex technical structure whose operation is governed by strict safety regulations.
All attractions in Baku’s Seaside National Park undergo daily inspections. Additional checks, including defect detection, examination of welded joints and technical measurements, are also conducted periodically.
The qualifications of the engineering and technical personnel responsible for maintaining the attractions are regularly assessed, the administration added.
People who experience dizziness, frequent headaches or epilepsy are advised not to use the Ferris wheel.
Children between the ages of six and 12 should ride only when accompanied by an adult.
