Azerbaijan opened its UEFA Nations League campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Lithuania on September 27.
Lithuania took the lead in the ninth minute when Armandas Kučys converted a penalty. Mahir Emreli equalized for Azerbaijan five minutes later, in the 14th minute. The match was played at the Darius and Girėnas Stadium in Kaunas.
