Azerbaijan has presented a series of domestically produced weapons at the ADEX 2026 defense exhibition in Baku, including a laser-guided missile, five drones, an unmanned ground vehicle and armored vehicles.
The systems span reconnaissance, strike, counter-drone and transport roles, according to Vesti Baku. The Defense Ministry has said the sixth Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition is being held at the Baku Expo Center, where military-technical cooperation meetings are also taking place.
Missile and Unmanned Aircraft
The 250-kilogram MGK MK-82 500 LBS laser-guided missile is intended to strike stationary targets illuminated by a laser. It was produced in Azerbaijan in 2026.
The 26-kilogram ARROW-3 strike drone can reach speeds of up to 130 kilometers per hour and engage targets at altitudes of up to 5 kilometers and ranges of up to 10 kilometers.
The multipurpose ŞAHİN-E can carry as much as 10 kilograms, fly for up to one hour with a payload at speeds of 75 to 90 kph, and uses a specialized algorithm designed to counter electronic-warfare systems.
The BORAN bomber drone carries up to 30 kilograms and is equipped with a three-axis stabilization system and thermal-imaging cameras. The Qartal reconnaissance and mortar drone operates within a 15-kilometer radius and can determine target coordinates from 1,500 meters away. The BARS first-person-view drone is designed to intercept fixed-wing drones and other FPV aircraft.
Ground Robot and Armored Vehicles
The tracked SIQR unmanned platform weighs about 950 kilograms, can carry more than 600 kilograms and operate for more than five hours. Its intended roles include moving cargo and equipment, surveillance, evacuating wounded personnel and carrying weapons.
The 4.2-ton VAŞAQ armored vehicle has already entered service with the Azerbaijani army. It can reach 100 kph and can be fitted with 12.7 mm and 7.62 mm machine guns.
Two configurations of the İTX-15M, weighing 12 and 14 tons, were also shown for the first time. The vehicles can reach 110 kph. One version has STANAG 4569 Level 3 protection, while the other has undergone mine-blast testing.
Azerbaijan-Türkiye Cooperation
Azerbaijan and Türkiye also signed a memorandum covering cooperation in defense education, research, technology and personnel training. The agreement was concluded by the countries’ relevant defense and education authorities.
