Representatives of Azerbaijan and Armenia held a technical meeting in the Armenian city of Goris on Oct. 8 to discuss electricity lines planned under the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, or TRIPP.
The meeting brought together officials from relevant agencies in both countries, APA reported, citing Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers.
The sides reviewed technical issues connected with installing the power lines, coordination between the responsible institutions and the next steps needed to move the work forward.
Construction Details Remain Open
No construction timetable, line specifications or final route agreement was announced after the meeting. The talks were described as a working-level technical discussion focused on preparing the project’s energy infrastructure.
TRIPP is intended to support transport and communications between mainland Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic through Armenia. The Goris meeting marks a practical bilateral step as Baku and Yerevan continue negotiating the details of individual components, according to a Vesti Baku report.
