Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has denied reports claiming that pensioners will receive an additional 30 manats every three months.
The ministry issued the clarification on Oct. 9 in response to an APA inquiry after the claim circulated on social media and several websites, according to Vesti Baku.
Officials said the information about a quarterly supplement was not true. No new recurring payment of 30 manats has been announced, and the current pension-payment system contains no such mechanism, according to a report carrying the ministry’s statement.
What Pensioners Should Know
Pensioners should rely on announcements from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the State Social Protection Fund for information about pension increases, supplements or one-time payments. Claims circulated through social media should not be treated as official unless they are confirmed by the responsible state agencies.
