Azerbaijan exported cotton worth $187.93 million in January–August 2026, an increase of 23.3% from the same period of 2025.
The figures were reported by Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee and cited by Vesti Baku.
During the same eight-month period, Azerbaijan imported cotton worth $7.14 million, up 13.9% year over year.
Cotton accounted for 0.86% of Azerbaijan’s total export value. Its share of the country’s overall imports was 0.06%.
The published indicators measure the value of shipments. Without physical-volume data, they do not show how much of the export growth came from higher sales volumes and how much resulted from changes in global cotton prices.
