The median asking price in Azerbaijan’s vehicle listings reached 18,800 manats, about $11,060, in September, while the number of advertised vehicles rose 11.4% to 40,373.
After controlling for changes in the mix of vehicles offered for sale, prices increased 1.1% from August, according to Vesti Baku and the Azerbaijan Chamber of Appraisers’ September index. The figures measure asking prices in advertisements, not completed transaction prices.
For a fixed basket of nine high-volume models, the market index rose from 102.5 to 103.7 points, with December 2025 set at 100.
Sonata Leads Monthly Gains
The median asking price for the Hyundai Sonata increased 5.5%, the largest gain in the model basket. The Kia Sorento rose 3.6% and the Hyundai Santa Fe gained 3.2%.
Ford Fusion, Opel Astra and Ford Transit listings declined by roughly 1% to 2%, while the LADA 2107 median remained unchanged at 5,500 manats.
The average asking price across all listings was 29,515 manats, well above the median because of higher-priced vehicles. Cars listed at 20,000 manats or less accounted for 53.3% of the market.
Older Vehicles Dominate Supply
The median model year was 2013 and median mileage was 193,000 kilometers. Among used vehicles, median mileage reached 204,000 kilometers. Vehicles more than 15 years old represented 41.8% of listings.
There were 3,064 new vehicles on offer, equal to 7.6% of all listings. Chinese brands accounted for 64% of new-vehicle advertisements, and Changan alone represented 34%.
Hybrids, plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles made up 60% of listings for model years 2023 through 2026. Across the entire market, however, their share was 12.3%, or 4,956 vehicles.
Baku Listings Carry Higher Prices
Baku accounted for 65.6% of advertisements. The median asking price in the capital was 23,500 manats, compared with 11,800 manats outside Baku.
The chamber cautioned that the gap reflects differences in the age, brands and models of vehicles offered, not geography alone.
