Azerbaijan produced an average 448,000 barrels of crude oil per day in August, 103,000 bpd below its OPEC+ quota of 551,000 bpd, according to figures reported by local media citing OPEC data.
The gap was about 18.7% of the quota. The quota is an output ceiling, not a requirement to produce that amount.
The country’s average daily crude production was reported at 454,000 barrels in the first quarter of 2026 and 456,000 barrels in the second quarter.
