Trendyol Orders to Azerbaijan Face Weeks-Long Delays

Must read

Trendyol customers in Azerbaijan are reporting longer delivery times, with orders that previously arrived in five to seven days now sometimes taking several weeks.

E-commerce specialist Nijat Manafov said the delays are mainly linked to parcels being transported by truck rather than by air, according to Sfera.az.

Manafov estimated that truck delivery from Turkey through Georgia to Azerbaijan typically takes 15 to 25 days. That period includes several stages of the logistics chain, not only the time a vehicle spends on the road.

Delays Not Attributed Only to Customs

The expert cautioned against attributing the delays exclusively to customs inspections. He said delivery speed also depends on the selected route, the type of transport, dispatch schedules and the organization of the logistics company.

Separate customer reports in September said deliveries that once took roughly seven to 10 days were taking 15 days and, in some cases, as long as a month. Those reports also linked the slowdown to increased use of road transport, although Trendyol had not publicly confirmed the explanation.

The distinction matters for consumers ordering clothing, shoes or household goods for a specific date. The time a merchant takes to dispatch an item is separate from the international transportation and final-delivery period.

Cargo Warehouses Are an Alternative, Not a Guarantee

Manafov said buyers seeking another option can have an order delivered first to a cargo company’s warehouse or collection address in Turkey. The intermediary then forwards the parcel to Azerbaijan.

That method does not automatically guarantee faster delivery. The outcome still depends on the carrier, transport mode, route and frequency of departures.

Consumers should therefore review the full estimated delivery period before purchasing, including how the parcel will travel from Turkey to Azerbaijan, rather than relying only on the seller’s dispatch date or on earlier experience with weeklong delivery.

The underlying reports did not include an official explanation from Trendyol. The transport assessment remains the expert’s explanation of the recent delays.
