Azerbaijani fighter Tofiq Musayev has secured his first win in the UFC, beating Chile’s Ignacio Bahamondes by unanimous decision at UFC Seattle. The bout took place on March 28 at Climate Pledge Arena and went the full three rounds before the judges awarded Musayev the victory.

The result was an important bounce-back moment for the 36-year-old, who had lost his UFC debut in Baku on June 22, 2025, against Kyrgyz fighter Myktybek Orolbai. For Musayev, the Seattle win marks his first breakthrough inside the promotion after entering the UFC with significant expectations from fans in Azerbaijan.

Musayev’s fight with Bahamondes quickly drew attention beyond Azerbaijan as one of the most dramatic bouts on the Seattle card. Several outlets described it as a bloody, high-intensity contest, and the fight was later reported to have earned Fight of the Night honors.

The victory also carries added resonance for Azerbaijani MMA fans because Bahamondes had previously fought in Baku as well, losing there to Rafael Fiziev. That gives Musayev’s result a bit more regional weight, tying another chapter of Azerbaijan’s growing visibility in the UFC to a major event in the United States.
