Demand for cleaning services in Baku is rising as warmer weather pushes more residents to order window washing, carpet cleaning, post-renovation cleanup and full cleaning of homes, offices and villas.
AZE.US reports that prices usually depend on the size of the property, the type of service and how difficult the job is.
Cleaning companies say standard home cleaning starts at about 2 manats per square meter (about $1.18). Post-renovation cleaning costs more because it requires more time, stronger cleaning materials and additional manual work.
Hourly cleaning is also available. A four-hour cleaning service with one worker costs around 38 manats (about $22.35). If the customer wants the company to bring its own cleaning supplies and equipment, the price rises to about 58 manats (about $34.12).
For larger apartments and houses, the price depends on the number of cleaners. A two-person service may cost around 95 manats (about $55.88), while three cleaners cost about 150 manats (about $88.24). A four-person team may cost 180 manats (about $105.88).
Soft furniture cleaning is usually charged separately and is not included in standard home cleaning. The price depends on the size of the sofa and the type of fabric. Companies say sofa cleaning can cost 30, 40, 50 or 70 manats (about $17.65, $23.53, $29.41 or $41.18).
More complicated jobs require special equipment and trained staff. These include cleaning exterior windows in high-rise buildings, large offices, clinics, swimming pools and big yard areas.
For outside window cleaning at height, companies may need industrial climbers or special lifting equipment. In such cases, prices can start at about 4 manats per square meter (about $2.35). If only the inside of the windows is cleaned, the price may be about 1 manat (about $0.59) lower.
Private homes and villas with pools fall into a separate category. These jobs take more time, equipment and workers. Yard and pool cleaning may start from 2-3 manats per square meter (about $1.18-$1.76), depending on the method used.
If special machines are used, the price is higher. If the work is done manually, it may cost less. Pool cleaning may also include chemical treatment, pipe cleaning and maintenance of technical areas.
Cleaning companies say individual monthly packages can be arranged for regular customers. The final price depends on the size of the home or office, the condition of the property, the number of workers needed and whether the customer orders regular cleaning or a more complex deep-cleaning service.
