Azerbaijan’s State Service for Mobilization and Conscription sent materials involving 91 cases and 144 people to prosecutors for possible legal action after an anti-corruption review of military registration and conscription.

The agency released the figures for the first nine months of 2026.

It said disciplinary and organizational measures were taken against 122 employees, including 72 managers. Two employees were discharged to the reserve on adverse grounds.

Conscription Services Move Online

The service also reported expanded electronic data exchanges between government agencies and plans to move all of its services online. Certificates covering military registration, deferments, exemptions and service records, along with medical-examination results, are already available through the MyGov platform.

Initial military registration for citizens born in 2011 has been moved fully online. The electronic procedure has also applied since September to those born in 2009 and 2010, and paper initial-registration certificates have been abolished.

The agency is separately testing an artificial-intelligence system to support medical assessments. It said the software will flag irregularities and possible risks but will not issue a final finding, which will remain the responsibility of the military medical commission.
