BAKU, Azerbaijan - Temporary disruptions to drinking-water supplies are expected in five Baku districts and part of the Absheron district while crews carry out repairs on a main pipeline, according to Vesti Baku.
The interruptions affect the Binagadi, Sabunchu, Khazar, Surakhani and Pirallahi districts of the capital, as well as part of the neighboring Absheron district.
Large Cities Water Supply JSC said service was expected to be restored by the morning of Oct. 7.
The company attributed the restrictions to repair and restoration work on a trunk water pipeline. It did not specify whether the duration or severity of the interruptions would be the same across all affected settlements and neighborhoods.
Residents in the affected areas were advised to take the temporary disruption into account when planning household water use until the work is completed.
