Shoppers say chicken fillet has become harder to find in some stores in Azerbaijan. According to those interviewed, shelves can be empty unless they shop early in the morning, Vesti Baku reported.
One shopper said she previously paid 6–7 manats for chicken fillet but now sees it priced at around 8 manats (about $4.70).

Sellers attributed the limited availability to stronger demand. They said deliveries have not always kept pace with purchases, putting some pressure on prices.
A producer interviewed for the video report described the shortage as temporary and said supplies should recover within a few days. The producer also said feed and chick prices had not risen and did not expect a broader increase in chicken meat prices.
