Shoppers have shared a snapshot of current grocery prices at a Bravo supermarket in Baku, covering fruit, vegetables, dairy products, bread, meat and other everyday items.
Watermelons were priced at 0.69 manats ($0.41) per kilogram, while bell peppers cost 1.69 manats ($0.99). Cherry tomatoes were offered for 3.95 manats ($2.32), and a pack of strawberries cost around 3 manats ($1.76).
Raspberries were priced at 9.99 manats ($5.88), although the shoppers noted that similar berries could be found at local markets for about 5 manats ($2.94).
A one-liter carton of 2.5% milk was on sale for 2.29 manats ($1.35). A 110-gram pack of physalis cost around 19 manats ($11.18).
Hamburger buns were priced at 0.42 manats ($0.25) each, while a 400-gram loaf of rye bread cost 3.45 manats ($2.03).
Boneless meat was sold for 18.99 manats ($11.17) per kilogram, lamb ribs for 19.99 manats ($11.76) and brisket for about 7.49 manats ($4.41).
Dutch cheese was available at around 13.15 manats ($7.74) per kilogram during a promotion, while another cheese variety cost 15.45 manats ($9.09) per kilogram. A 200-gram pack of cheese was priced at about 4 manats ($2.35), and sausages cost between 4.15 and 4.40 manats ($2.44-$2.59).
Ankara pasta was on sale for 1.55 manats ($0.91).
The shoppers spent about 55 manats ($32.35) at Bravo but said they still needed to visit another supermarket to complete their grocery shopping.
