A two-day vacation in Azerbaijan’s regions can cost a couple between 300 and 500 manats ($176–$294), prompting some travelers to consider Turkey or Georgia as more affordable alternatives.

As AZE.US reports, citing Baku TV, many Azerbaijanis say domestic tourism has become increasingly expensive, particularly during the summer season. Some travelers believe that visiting neighboring countries can offer better value while also providing a change of scenery and a chance to experience a different culture.

According to tourism specialists, a two-day trip to Guba for two people may cost around 300–500 manats, including accommodation and meals.

A foreign vacation booked three to four months in advance can cost approximately 800–1,000 manats ($470–$588) per person.

Experts named Turkey and Georgia among the most attractive destinations in terms of price.

A one-week package tour to Antalya or Alanya for two people costs about 2,500–2,800 manats ($1,470–$1,647). The package typically includes round-trip flights, airport transfers and hotel accommodation.

Trips to Marmaris, Fethiye and Bodrum are considerably more expensive, with prices for two people starting at around 3,500–4,000 manats ($2,059–$2,353).

A trip to Tbilisi for two people costs approximately 1,700 manats ($1,000), while a vacation in Batumi is estimated at around 2,200 manats ($1,294).

Within Azerbaijan, one night for two people in the Guba-Gusar tourism area costs between 120 and 150 manats ($71–$88). Some hotels include breakfast, entertainment facilities and spa services in the price.

Demand is also growing for travel to Azerbaijan’s recently restored territories.

A hotel night with breakfast in Khankendi costs around 200–250 manats ($118–$147). Prices in Lachin reach approximately 350 manats ($206), while accommodation in Shusha ranges from 250 to 350 manats ($147–$206) per night.

Tourism experts advise travelers to compare not only hotel prices but also transportation, meals and entertainment costs. In some cases, a week-long foreign vacation may offer better value than spending just several days at one of Azerbaijan’s popular domestic resorts.
