Azerbaijani presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev and Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan held a working meeting in Dilijan, Armenia, on June 14.
The two officials discussed a number of issues related to the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace agenda, according to Azerbaijani and Armenian media reports.
The sides emphasized the importance of maintaining bilateral dialogue as part of efforts to promote lasting peace and stability in the region.
Hajiyev and Grigoryan also exchanged views on confidence-building measures between the civil societies of the two countries.
Following the meeting, the two officials agreed to continue contacts at the working level. They also confirmed that the next meeting will be held in Azerbaijan.
The Dilijan meeting comes as Baku and Yerevan continue efforts to move the normalization process forward after years of conflict. The focus has increasingly shifted from formal diplomatic statements to practical dialogue, communication channels and confidence-building steps between the two societies.
