Demining teams cleared 1,840.3 hectares in Azerbaijan’s returned territories from Sept. 14 through Sept. 20, removing mines and unexploded ordnance.
The work was carried out by specialized government agencies and contracted organizations.
During the week, specialists found and neutralized 65 anti-tank mines, 204 anti-personnel mines and 745 pieces of unexploded ordnance.

Demining remains a key condition for the return of residents and the construction of housing, roads and public utilities. The amount of land reported as cleared does not automatically make all surrounding territory safe; access should begin only after the relevant authorities complete and approve their surveys.
