BAKU, Azerbaijan - Another 30 children from Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions have arrived in Azerbaijan for a 10-day medical, social and psychological rehabilitation program.

The children will stay at the Gabala Children’s Rehabilitation Center, operated by the Social Services Agency under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

Ten Days of Care and Activities

The program includes individual psychological consultations, group sessions, art, dance and yoga therapy, therapeutic massage, swimming and other rehabilitation services. Trips to historical and tourist sites in Gabala, Sheki and Shamakhi are also planned.

Organizers said the program is intended to improve the children’s emotional well-being, support their social integration and provide a safe period of rest away from the effects of the war.

Azerbaijan Says 722 Children Have Received Support

Ukraine’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, said 722 Ukrainian children have undergone rehabilitation in Azerbaijan since the war began.

The Social Services Agency separately said more than 500 Ukrainian children and young people have previously received social and psychological rehabilitation through programs it organized. The two figures refer to different scopes: the ambassador’s total covers rehabilitation support in Azerbaijan, while the agency’s figure covers its own programs.
