Commercial commitments between Azerbaijan and the United States have exceeded $8 billion and cover more than 10 signed agreements, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said.
Bayramov announced the figure at a U.S. Chamber of Commerce roundtable in New York attended by executives and representatives of American companies.
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry said the result followed the first Azerbaijan-U.S. economic dialogue. The two sides established working groups on trade, energy, artificial intelligence and transport connectivity.
Bayramov also highlighted partnerships with U.S. companies in the energy sector. He linked the expansion of cooperation to the countries’ move toward a strategic partnership following the 2025 Washington summit.
TRIPP and the Middle Corridor
The foreign minister said direct bilateral trade between Azerbaijan and Armenia began after transit restrictions were lifted.
The meeting also addressed the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, or TRIPP, which is intended to provide unimpeded transport between mainland Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan.
Other priorities included the Middle Corridor and the Digital Silk Road project, which are designed to expand transport and digital links between Asia and Europe.
