A price survey at a Belarusian grocery store in central Baku found packaged sausage starting at 5.69 manats, cheese priced as high as 29 manats per kilogram and chocolate bars selling for 1.40 manats.
The store, at 131B Nizami Street, was featured in a video by the Solnechny Krai YouTube channel. The prices reflect the time of filming and may change.
A 295-gram package of smoked sausage was priced at 5.69 manats, while a 245-gram package labeled “Italian” cost 9.38 manats. A 445-gram dry-cured sausage was 12.59 manats, a 440-gram Krakowska semi-smoked sausage was 10.34 manats, and a 440-gram package of Finnish cervelat cost 11.44 manats.
Other meat products included 250 grams of liver pâté for 2.20 manats, 200 grams of bacon for 6.20 manats, and a 500-gram package of cutlets for 8.63 manats. A half-kilogram package of sausages for frying cost 6.79 manats.
Cheese was offered at roughly 23.80 to 29 manats per kilogram, while butter with 82.5% fat content was priced at 27 manats per kilogram. A 400-gram loaf of bread cost 2.75 manats, and another variety sold for 3.60 manats.
In the sweets section, a 230-gram package of marshmallow-style zefir was 2.70 manats, while 250 grams of strawberry zefir cost 2.90 manats. Chocolate bars were priced at 1.40 manats, and an Alyonka milk chocolate bar cost 1.20 manats.
Italian-style sauce and barbecue sauce were each priced at 2.40 manats. Mustard started at 1.50 manats, while horseradish sauce cost 2 manats.
The figures are a snapshot from one store and should not be treated as average prices for Belarusian products across Baku.
