A new central hospital has begun operating in Azerbaijan’s Khojavend district, expanding access to medical care for residents returning to the restored territories, the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TƏBİB) said on Sept. 28.
The hospital provides outpatient consultations with a therapist, pediatrician, ophthalmologist and gynecologist. Patients can also receive ultrasound examinations and laboratory testing.
The facility includes a surgical department, a triage area and separate rooms organized according to patients’ medical condition. It is also equipped with an X-ray machine.
TƏBİB Executive Director Anar Bayramov inspected the new hospital as well as a medical point operating under it in the Girmizi Bazar settlement.
The opening is part of efforts to restore social infrastructure and expand local health services as permanent residents return to the district.
