Temporary traffic-management measures will be introduced on 10 streets and avenues in Baku from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 11, and motorists have been advised to plan ahead for possible delays.

Azerbaijan’s Interior Ministry Intelligent Transport Management Center will conduct an exercise ahead of an international event scheduled in the capital on Oct. 15, according to Vesti Baku.

Roads Covered by the Exercise

The exercise will affect Mehdi Huseyn, Istiglaliyyat, Zarifa Aliyeva, Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Izzaddin Hasanoglu, Yusif Safarov, Gulara Gadirbeyova and Niyazi streets, as well as Neftchilar and Heydar Aliyev avenues.

Authorities did not release a detailed map of closures or diversions. Drivers were asked to use alternative routes where possible and allow extra travel time while the temporary measures are in effect.

The exercise is intended to test the safe and efficient management of traffic flows before the international event. The schedule and full list of affected roads were also reported by Report.az.
