A 71-year-old native of Azerbaijan’s Lankaran region was killed on Sept. 27 during a Russian drone attack on Kyiv region, Ukrainian authorities and Azerbaijani media reported.
Ashur Bahlul oglu Akbarov, a Ukrainian citizen, lived in Vyshneve near Kyiv, according to the Eastern European bureau of Report.
The agency said the strike hit while Akbarov was driving his personal vehicle to work on Sunday morning.
One Killed and Three Injured in Vyshneve
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration said one person was killed and three others were injured when a drone struck Vyshneve in the Bucha district.
Five vehicles were damaged and a fire broke out, the administration said. Rescue workers and emergency crews were continuing to deal with the aftermath of the attack, while information about the condition of those injured was being clarified.
The regional authority did not identify the person killed by name in its initial statement. Report identified the victim as Akbarov and said he was originally from Azerbaijan’s Lankaran region.
