Azerbaijan’s State Housing Development Agency, known as MIDA, will offer 535 apartments under the country’s subsidized housing program.

The apartments are located in residential complexes in Lankaran, Shirvan and Yevlakh. Online selection will open at 11 a.m. on Sept. 4 and remain available until 4 p.m. that day.

Jamshid Amirov, head of MIDA’s administration, said the agency has also updated the apartment selection process to make the “Affordable Housing” electronic system easier to use and reduce application errors.

Buyers Will Be Able to Search by Address

Under the revised procedure, searching by a specific address will be the first option activated when sales begin.

Applicants will be able to review the sales announcement at least 30 days in advance, identify the addresses of preferred apartments and search for those units directly on selection day.

Search options using an interactive map and apartment parameters will be activated afterward.

Once an eligible applicant opens a specific apartment, the system will temporarily restrict other users from selecting the same unit. Its current status will be displayed in real time.

Application Process Divided Into Separate Steps

The residential project, payment method and apartment selection method will now appear on separate pages.

MIDA said the change is intended to prevent mistakes involving the number of rooms, payment options and other important details.

The waiting-list process has also been revised. Applicants will be able to see an apartment’s status before attempting to select it. Once a user confirms the selection, the application will immediately receive the relevant status in the electronic system.

Amirov said MIDA regularly carries out security upgrades and that the online sales system remains fully protected.
