Demand for short-term rental homes has increased in Azerbaijan’s regions ahead of the holiday period, with Quba and Lankaran seeing a clear rise in bookings.

In Quba, daily rental houses are especially popular in villages along the road toward Khinalig, including Gechresh, Gimilgazma and Kusnetgazma. The area’s cooler air and mountain scenery have made it one of the main destinations for people looking to spend the holidays outside Baku.

Local homeowners say tourism has become an important source of income. Some residents rent out houses, while others prepare meals for visitors, organize horse rides or provide other services for tourists.

Ahead of the holiday, private houses in Quba, private houses are being offered from about 60 to 300 manats per day, roughly $35 to $176, depending on location, capacity and comfort level

Market participants say prices have risen by up to 20% compared with last year, but demand remains strong. Many homes have already been booked in advance, especially by repeat visitors who return to the same properties each year.

Hotels are also seeing heavy demand. According to local reports, about 90% of hotel rooms in the region have already been reserved for the holiday period.

A similar trend is being reported in Lankaran, where interest in daily rental houses has also increased compared with previous years. In Lankaran, prices now often start from 80-100 manats, or about $47-$59 per day. Homes with pools are offered for roughly 100-150 manats, about $59-$88, while some properties reach 200 manats, or about $118. Visitors mostly prefer houses near the foothills, where the weather is cooler and there is more space for families.

The rise in demand is good news for local tourism businesses, but it also means that holiday trips are becoming more expensive for families who wait until the last moment to book accommodation.
