Pope Leo XIV has congratulated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day.

Pope Leo XIV said he prayed that Azerbaijanis would continue developing their society, work for the common good, defend the dignity of every person, help those in need and remain committed to peace.
He also extended divine blessings to President Aliyev, government officials and all citizens of Azerbaijan.
