A Baku court has issued a new verdict against Elnara Ramiz gizi Rzayeva, the head of Dr.Elnara LLC and a well-known cosmetologist.

According to Vesti Baku, citing Teleqraf, the case was heard at the Narimanov District Court under Judge Tural Musayev. The proceedings were based on a complaint filed by private prosecutor Nigar Rufat gizi Rufat.

Rzayeva was found guilty under Articles 147.1 and 148 of Azerbaijan’s Criminal Code, which cover defamation and insult.

The court sentenced her to one year of corrective labor. Under the ruling, 10 percent of her monthly income will be withheld in favor of the state during the sentence period.

The report said Rzayeva had previously been convicted. An amnesty measure applied in her case was annulled, while an earlier sentence of 10 months of corrective labor remained in force.

Under the new verdict, the previous sentence and the latest punishment were combined. The final sentence was set at one year of corrective labor.

Last year, the managers of LBC aesthetic cosmetology clinics in Baku and Sumgayit, Rena Rufat gizi Soltanova and Nigar Rufat gizi Rufat, filed a court complaint against Rzayeva, accusing her of spreading insulting and defamatory information.
