Azerbaijan Railways and Georgian Railway are working to arrange additional passenger services between Baku and Tbilisi amid high demand and growing complaints about ticket availability.
Georgian Railway said there were no obstacles on its side to scheduling and receiving additional trains on the Tbilisi-Baku and Baku-Tbilisi routes.
“The relevant work is currently underway between the parties,” the company said.
The dates of any additional services will be announced publicly once an agreement has been reached.
In recent days, passengers have taken to social media to complain about difficulties purchasing tickets for the Tbilisi-Baku train.
Demand for travel on the route has reportedly exceeded the number of seats currently available.
