Consumers in Azerbaijan are increasingly facing significant delays in receiving parcels ordered from abroad, with some shipments taking more than a month to arrive.
Buyers say items that previously reached the country within days are now stuck in customs for weeks, while responses from delivery support services remain limited or unclear. In some cases, customers say they are unsure whether their orders will arrive at all or if their money has effectively been lost.
Customer support representatives from the international shopping platform Temu attributed the slowdown to changes in inspection procedures by Azerbaijani customs authorities, which have extended clearance times for incoming parcels.
The State Customs Committee confirmed that the volume of cross-border e-commerce orders has risen sharply in recent months. Officials also noted that delays can occur when shipments are incorrectly declared, requiring additional verification before release.
Authorities did not specify when delivery times are expected to return to normal.
