Azerbaijan produced 51.18 billion manats of industrial output in January-September 2026, a real decline of 0.8% from the same period a year earlier, according to the State Statistical Committee.
The figures were also reflected in the country’s summary of key macroeconomic indicators.
Non-oil and gas industrial production increased 5.4% to 16.56 billion manats, indicating that the overall contraction was concentrated outside the growing non-oil and gas segment.
Manufacturing output reaches 16.98 billion manats
Manufacturing companies produced goods and industrial services worth 16.98 billion manats. In real terms, the sector expanded 3.4%.
Mining accounted for 62% of total industrial output. Manufacturing represented 33.2%, electricity, gas and steam production and distribution contributed 4.1%, and water supply and waste treatment accounted for 0.7%.
Annual decline deepens from August
Industrial output had been down 0.4% year over year in January-August. By the end of September, the real annual contraction had deepened to 0.8%.
The comparison shows that growth in manufacturing and the non-oil and gas segment was not sufficient to offset weakness elsewhere in industry during the nine-month period.
