Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers has set monthly base salaries of 3,600 manats, or about $2,118, for the heads of certain public legal entities and 3,115 manats, or about $1,832, for their deputies.
The new rates apply to state-budget-funded public legal entities that are subordinate to public legal entities established under government bodies, as well as public legal entities without departmental subordination, Vesti Baku reported.
The executives’ total monthly compensation will consist of the base salary and any additional payments provided for under Azerbaijan’s regulations. The approved figures therefore do not necessarily represent their full monthly pay.
Decision Implements March Directive
President Ilham Aliyev instructed the government in March 2026 to determine compensation for the heads and deputy heads of this category of organizations as part of changes to the salary system for budget-funded public legal entities.
The Cabinet’s resolution establishes the specific base amounts. The difference between the salary assigned to a head and that of a deputy is 485 manats, or about $285.
