BAKU - Azerbaijani defense company Zireh has presented a 24-kilowatt high-energy laser system designed to detect, track and neutralize aerial targets.
The MB-24000 system was displayed at the ADEX 2026 international defense exhibition in Baku. Zireh operates within Azersilah Holding.
Company head Abas Guliyev said the laser has an effective engagement range of 300 meters to 4 kilometers, while its radar can detect targets from as far as 8 kilometers, according to Vesti Baku.
The platform uses artificial intelligence for automatic target tracking and is equipped with daylight cameras and thermal-imaging systems.
Zireh said the system detected and neutralized small aerial targets at distances of about 3 to 4 kilometers during testing. Trend reported from the exhibition that the MB-24000 is intended for air-defense missions against fast-moving aerial targets.
No independent information has been released on serial production, operational deployment or formal adoption of the system by Azerbaijan’s armed forces.
