Scheduled electricity interruptions will affect parts of Baku’s Yasamal and Sabail districts and three villages in Absheron on Oct. 30, with the longest outage expected to last from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Azərişıq, Azerbaijan’s electricity distribution company, said the temporary restrictions are required for repairs intended to improve network reliability and meet rising demand. Power will be restored after the work is completed.
Yasamal: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Electricity will be restricted on Kazim Kazimzade and Shafayat Mehdiyev streets and in part of the Second Alatava residential area.
Sabail: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
An interruption is expected on Gulbala Aliyev Street in the Bayil settlement.
Absheron: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Repairs will be carried out at the No. 137 substation, which operates at 110/35/10 kilovolts. The work will temporarily cut power to the Pirkeshkul, Chayli and Jangi substations, which operate at 35/6 kilovolts, and to several 6-kilovolt overhead lines originating from the Pirkeshkul substation.
The villages of Chayli, Jangi and Tezekend will also be affected during the maintenance period.
