Must read

Ukraine has received Azerbaijani energy equipment worth $1.5 million, or about 2.5 million manats, including nine transformers, 186 kilometers of cable and 12-kilovolt distribution equipment.

The equipment was handed to Ukraine’s Energy Ministry through Azerbaijan’s embassy in the country, Ambassador Seymur Mardaliyev said in announcing the completion of the delivery.

What the Humanitarian Shipment Included

In addition to the transformers and cables, the shipment contained equipment for 12-kilovolt distribution networks. The assistance is intended to support the restoration and operation of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

The humanitarian aid was dispatched under an order from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev after Ukraine requested electrical equipment.

The shipment left Azerbaijan on Oct. 7. The latest announcement marks a new stage in the delivery: the equipment has now arrived in Ukraine and been transferred to the responsible ministry.

Azerbaijan has previously sent Ukraine generators, transformers, cables and other equipment for the power system. The new consignment continues that support as Ukraine’s energy infrastructure remains under strain.
