At least 14 people were killed and 14 others were wounded when a jet-powered drone struck the main railway station in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, Ukrainian authorities said.
The drone hit a platform where a passenger train and a suburban train were standing, Vesti Baku reported, citing Reuters and The Associated Press. The suburban train was preparing to depart for Zaporizhzhia at the time of the attack.
A child was among the wounded, and six of the injured were reported to be in serious condition.
Ukraine’s state railway company, Ukrzaliznytsia, said the jet-powered drone reached the platform despite an air-raid warning. Rescue workers and police continued operating at the station after the strike.
Power Outages and Additional Strikes
A separate strike in Dnipro hit a student dormitory and started a fire. Regional administration head Oleksandr Hanzha said about 350,000 households were left without electricity during the day.
Elsewhere in Ukraine, two 15-year-old girls were killed in Chernihiv and 23 people, including four children, were wounded, according to local authorities.
In Kremenchuk, strikes on an apartment building and a residential area killed three people and wounded 32. Three attacks on city buses in Zaporizhzhia wounded six people. A later missile strike on Kyiv killed one more person.
Based on figures confirmed by Ukrainian authorities, at least 20 people were killed in the attacks across the country that day.
Local Truce Does Not Cover Other Regions
Moscow denies that Russian forces deliberately target civilians. No separate Russian comment on the strike on the Dnipro station platform had been reported at the time of publication.
The attacks came during a localized six-day truce in the Kherson region, agreed with U.S. mediation to allow aid deliveries to Russian-controlled Oleshky and the possible evacuation of residents. The arrangement does not apply to other parts of Ukraine.
