As of July 1, the retirement age for women in Azerbaijan has increased to 65, bringing it in line with the retirement age for men.
Until now, women in Azerbaijan were eligible for retirement at 64 years and 6 months. That threshold had been in effect from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.

The increase was part of a gradual adjustment process. In recent years, the retirement age for women was raised in stages by six months at a time until it reached the same level as the retirement age for men.
For men, the retirement age in Azerbaijan had already reached 65 in 2021.
The minimum labor pension in Azerbaijan currently stands at 320 manats, or about $188. Old-age labor pensions are assigned for life.
