Azerbaijan exported urea to France for the first time in the period covered by publicly available statistics, shipping 19,062 tons worth $5.7 million in January–July 2026.
The calculations are based on State Statistical Committee data cited by Report. The accessible foreign-trade series begins in 2011 and shows no earlier shipments to France.
Azerbaijan exported a total of 213,109 tons of urea worth $88.2 million during the seven-month period. Compared with January–July 2025, volume fell 37%, while export revenue declined 12%.
Ukraine remained the largest buyer, taking 109,911 tons worth $42.1 million, though shipments there fell 58%. New markets included South Africa, which bought 30,949 tons for $14.4 million, and India, which purchased 14,244 tons for $9 million.
Exports to Romania reached 14,485 tons worth $5 million. Volume rose 2.9-fold and value increased 3.7-fold.
