Baku will temporarily reroute 26 bus services during the Azerbaijan Formula 1 Grand Prix, while routes No. 72 and E1 will be suspended.
The first stage of the restrictions will begin at 9 p.m. on Sept. 19. Thirteen regular and express routes will use alternative streets until midnight on Sept. 21.
The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency announced the changes, which were reported by Report and APA.
Changes Beginning on Sept. 19
Routes No. 1, 2, 4, 10, 20, 32, 46, 88A, 120, 120E and H1 will be redirected through Dilara Aliyeva and Kovkab Safaraliyeva streets and Neftchilar Avenue before returning to their regular routes.
Bus No. 125 will travel along Neftchilar Avenue and Rashid Behbudov and Dilara Aliyeva streets.
The M9 express bus toward the Azi Aslanov metro station will operate via Dilara Aliyeva and Kovkab Safaraliyeva streets and Neftchilar Avenue.
Route Plan for Sept. 21-26
From Sept. 21 through Sept. 26, changes will affect 26 routes. Buses No. 1, 2, 4, 20, 46, 88A, 120, 120E and H1 will use Kovkab Safaraliyeva Street and Neftchilar Avenue.
Toward the city center, routes No. 20, 88A and 120E will travel through Afiyaddin Jalilov, Yusif Safarov and 28 May streets.
The M9 express toward the Elmlar Akademiyasi metro station will use Yusif Safarov, 28 May and Rashid Behbudov streets. In the opposite direction, it will travel along Dilara Aliyeva and Kovkab Safaraliyeva streets and Neftchilar Avenue.
Routes No. 5 and 6 to Be Split
Routes No. 5 and 6 will be divided into two sections.
Bus No. 5 will serve the Nariman Narimanov metro station-Suleyman Rahimov Street section and the Salyan Highway-Bibi-Heybat Mosque-Baku Funicular section.
Route No. 6 will link the Azadlig Prospekti metro station with Akhundov Garden and will also operate between the 20th Area and the Bahram Gur statue.
Other Detours and Suspensions
Access to terminal stops near the Central Bank, Icherisheher and 28 May will change for routes No. 61, 65 and 88.
Buses No. 10, 18, 31, 37, 53, 77 and 205 traveling toward Icherisheher will be redirected through Sheikh Shamil, Lermontov and Bunyad Sardarov streets.
Route No. 125 will detour through the Lokbatan Circle, the ring road, Mikayil Mushfig, Abdulla Shaig, Mirzaagha Aliyev, Shamsi Badalbeyli, Azadlig Avenue, Dilara Aliyeva and Pushkin streets.
Routes No. 149 and 149E will operate between Sahil settlement and the Bina shopping center, while route No. 195E will run from Alat settlement to the same transport hub.
Services on routes No. 72 and E1 will be temporarily suspended. Passengers should allow additional travel time and check updated route information before departing.
