Emin Agalarov says his attachment to Azerbaijan does not conflict with his long personal and professional ties to Russia.

“Azerbaijan is my homeland, my love, my everything,” the businessman and singer said in an interview with the YouTube channel “Sveta Vokrug Sveta.”

“Everything I do here, I do with passion.”

Agalarov said he spent most of his life living and working in Russia and continues to feel deeply connected to the country.

“I truly love this country,” he said.

He continues to operate businesses in Russia, launch new projects and perform concerts there. At the time of the interview, Agalarov said he was preparing to open two new restaurants and hold several performances in Moscow.

He said Moscow, in particular, remains an important part of his life.

“One does not interfere with the other,” Agalarov said. “I am glad that people who follow me understand that I have not left, abandoned or rejected anything.”

Agalarov said he has been spending more time in Baku because the Sea Breeze development has grown into a project requiring his direct involvement.

About 200 buildings have already been completed at the resort, while approximately 250 more are under construction, he said.

Agalarov is also developing a major construction project in Uzbekistan, requiring frequent travel between several countries.

He stressed that his growing business presence in Azerbaijan does not mean he is withdrawing from Russia. He continues to invest there, tour Russian cities and hold an annual pre-New Year concert in Moscow.

For Agalarov, the distinction is personal rather than political: Azerbaijan is his homeland, while Russia is the country where much of his life and career took shape.
