BAKU, Azerbaijan - Azerbaijan’s 10 largest private non-oil exporters shipped $697.1 million in goods and services abroad in January-August 2026, more than doubling their combined total from a year earlier.
The group’s exports rose 2.33 times from $299.43 million in the same period of 2025, an increase of $397.67 million, according to data from the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication cited by Vesti Baku.
Mining Company Takes the Lead
Azerbaijan International Mining Company ranked first among private non-oil exporters. Its exports jumped to $245.7 million from $74.7 million a year earlier, a 3.29-fold increase.
The mining company accounted for about 35.2% of the top 10’s combined exports, according to a report based on the center’s September Export Review. Marja separately reported the same figures.
Prime Cotton placed second with $102.9 million in exports, up from $84 million in January-August 2025. The increase amounted to $18.9 million, or 22.5%. Marja reported that the company operates 10 cotton-ginning plants and three spinning mills.
Azerbaijan Sugar Production Association ranked third as its exports climbed to $90.9 million from $39.3 million. Baku Steel Company followed with $54 million, up from $41.3 million.
Prime Export completed the top five with $43.9 million in exports. The comparative table did not list an export total for the company in the same period of 2025.
Other Companies in the Top 10
Tabaterra exported $40.6 million, West Stream $32.3 million, Agrarco $31 million, Silk Way Airlines $28.5 million and P-Aqro $27.3 million.
Among those companies, Agrarco’s exports nearly tripled and Tabaterra posted growth of 76.5%. Silk Way Airlines recorded the sharpest change from a low base, rising from $30,000 in the first eight months of 2025 to $28.5 million this year.
The ranking follows data showing that Azerbaijan’s total non-oil and gas exports reached about $2.8 billion in January-August 2026. The top 10 private exporters therefore accounted for roughly one-quarter of the country’s non-oil and gas export revenue over the period.
