Five new road bridges have been built and opened in Baku’s Garadagh district over the past several months, Azerbaijan’s State Agency of Automobile Roads said.

Three of the bridges are in the Gobustan settlement at kilometer 55 of the Baku-Alat-Gazakh highway. Two others are located on the Sangachal-Cheyildag and Lokbatan-Guzdek roads.

Third Gobustan Bridge Is 45.2 Meters Long

The third bridge opened in Gobustan is 45.2 meters long and has a 10-meter-wide carriageway, according to the road agency.

The agency plans to begin dismantling and rebuilding a fourth bridge on the same section of the highway in the coming days. It has not announced a completion date for that next phase.

Projects Follow Earlier Construction Program

In July, authorities reported that three single-span bridges were under construction at different locations in Garadagh. Those projects included sites on the Baku-Alat-Gazakh highway, the Sangachal-Cheyildag road and the Lokbatan-Guzdek road.

The newly released figures show that the number of bridges completed and placed into service in the district has now reached five. The details were independently reported by Report and APA, citing the state road agency.
